Why i blog
A while back a very good friend told me I should put my thoughts down on paper, she suggested this after reading something I scribbled down under the topic of ‘hope.’
I didn’t give it much thought but with the right amount of encouragement and the suggestion to utilitize WordPress, I went ahead.
Like drawing, music, and dance, writing is another base for self-expression and exploration. While some things can only be played on an instrument and others things are revealed with a canvas and some paint, there is a place where thought/ideas can only be channeled through words.
Stories are the human race’s oldest form of sharing and communicating. The art of storytelling is what captivates us, whether it’s through film, poetry, or in the bedtime stories parents tend to master.
Telling your story is one of the greatest skills to develop and hone. I blog because the narratives that plague my mind can only become coherent they’re put down on paper and it’s a great way to have those thoughts and views challenged. Furthermore, challenge is necessary, because with challenge comes the potential to grow and growth lies beyond comfort.
